Payments – How it Works

As stated in the GIGZY Terms and Conditions, all payments processed through the GIGZY website are transferred using our payment provider, Stripe. By making payments through GIGZY, you agree to the Stripe Services Agreement (https://stripe.com/en-pt/legal/ssa).

Step by Step Payment Process:

  • The Vendor registers a Listing on GIGZY and is directed to register on Stripe.
  • The Client shows interest in the Listing and decides to make a reservation.
  • The Vendor confirms availability and accepts the reservation.
  • The Client makes the payment and completes the GIG reservation.
  • GIGZY receives the funds from the Client, which are held until the completion of the GiG (using Stripe).
  • The GiG is considered completed either manually or automatically.
  • GIGZY transfers 85% of the total GiG value to the Vendor.
  • Within 5 business days, the Vendor receives their money in their account.

Client Payment:

The Client will make a payment of 100% of the GiG value (taxes included) to confirm the booking. The booking will be confirmed once GIGZY receives the funds from the Client. The Client can make the reservation payment using either a Credit Card or Multibanco Reference.

Vendor Payment Receipt:

When registering a Listing on the GIGZY platform, the Vendor will be redirected to a Stripe Link. The Vendor will need to follow the registration steps on Stripe. This registration is necessary to connect the GIGZY Stripe account with the Vendor’s account, enabling all payment processes to be carried out quickly and securely. All transactions involving the Vendor can be viewed through the Stripe login created by the Vendor.

When will the Vendor receive their money?

The Vendor will receive their funds, 85% of the total GiG value, within 5 business days after its completion. The GiG is considered completed in two ways:

Manual Confirmation: The Client and the Artist click the “Complete GiG” button on the platform. Automatic Confirmation: 48 hours after the GiG has taken place, with no dispute requests, the GiG is considered completed.

Once the GiG is considered completed, 85% of the total GiG value will be transferred to the Vendor. The transfer will be finalized within a maximum period of 5 business days.

Invoice Sending to Vendor

GIGZY will receive a 15% commission from the total GiG value. After the completion of the GiG and the collection of the 15% commission, GIGZY will send an invoice directly to the Vendor for this amount.

Taxes – How it Works

It is important to verify the tax status of the artist and the customer (VAT registration, withholding tax, and whether the customer is a company or an individual).

Since 2022, the Regime for Professionals in the Cultural Sector (RPAC) has been implemented, which has implications for the final cost of hiring an artist.
